Pet Surgeries

Surgeries

From routine spays and neuters to mass removal surgery for dogs and cats in Cypress, TX, Lakeside Veterinary Care offers a variety of surgical services to help your pet live a better life. Safety, comfort, and smooth recovery are all priorities, but we also want to make sure that you’re at ease about your pet’s procedure. You’re always welcome to voice your concerns and ask questions. We want you to be fully informed about your pet’s condition and what to expect during their recovery.

Peace of Mind

We help your pet feel calm and secure.

Our staff members use low-stress handling techniques to help dogs and cats feel more at ease before their surgery. This is especially important when we need to perform pre-anesthetic blood work to make sure they are healthy.

Safety

We make your pet’s safety our top priority.

We require pre-anesthetic blood work to be performed on all surgery patients. This ensures that their organs are functioning normally and that they do not have any underlying conditions that could increase their risk of a complication.

During your pet’s surgery, our staff members provide continuous monitoring of vitals (including heart rate, EKG, respiration, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation). If any changes need to be made to your pet’s anesthesia, this can be done quickly and safely.

Comfort

We want your pet to be as comfortable as possible.

Discomfort is always to be expected after surgery, but this can slow their recovery for dogs and cats. We aim to keep pain to a minimum as often as possible, especially when your pet is at home with you. In addition to administering pain relief during surgery, we will also send you home with oral medications to give to your pet.

We’ll provide you with detailed instructions about helping your companion recover smoothly, and we might have you schedule a follow-up visit so we can check their progress.

Surgical Services

Along with spays and neuters, which we perform on a regular basis, our veterinarians can also perform:

  • Mass/tumor removals
  • Bladder stone removals
  • Various eye surgeries
  • Skin tag removals
  • Foreign body/intestinal obstruction removal
  • Abdominal exploratory surgery
  • And more

Please note: We primarily do soft tissue surgery, spays/neuters, and mass removals. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us.
